Who is Modern Home Furniture?

Who makes up the Modern Home Family?

Isabelle:
Our beautiful owner! Isabelle is a proud Latina woman, mother and grandmother. She is a natural entrepreneur who started out selling used furniture from her garage! In 2009, after hearing a moving message at church, Isabelle decided to leave her full-time job at Microsoft and pursue her passion for interior design by opening Modern Used Furniture. After seeing her business grow she decided to expand into Modern Home Furniture with her husband Steve's support. In her free time, Isabelle enjoys visiting her family in Peru, spending time with her kids, dog, and husband and giving back as an avid philanthropist.

Steve:
Steve is known as Isabelle's partner in life and in business. Steve is a devoted owner, husband, father and grandfather. He enjoys soaking up all of the family time that he can get. Steve met Isabelle in 2010 and helped upgrade the company in a multitude of ways! Steve is also an avid philanthropist and enjoys helping out in the community in anyway he can. Steve has always been a sports guy and is a proud supporter of the Seattle Seahawks. He also used to work at Seattle University as a victim advocate. 

Angela:
Angela has been with Modern Home Furniture since 2011, practically since the beginning! She has no official title as she does a little bit of everything here! However she does handle a lot of the admin work behind the scenes. Angela spends her life outside of work with her 2 kids and 3 animals (2 dogs and a cat). She also uses her free time to focus on her passion for photography.

Hayden:
Hayden is Modern Home Furniture's General Manager. He started working for the company in January of 2018. Hayden grew up in Boise, Idaho with his parents and three younger brothers. He had always wanted to move out of the small town he lived in and happened to land in Everett, WA in 2017. Hayden has always wanted to play a roll in helping a business grow to its full potential so Modern Home Furniture is the perfect business for him. In addition to being interested in the business world Hayden loves to travel and spend time with his dog. He also enjoys working out and would say cooking is his forte.

Mark:
Mark is our logistics manager! He handles all things warehouse and item quantity. Mark started with Modern Home Furniture in November of 2017. He was born in Virginia and grew up in Indiana. Mark has been serving in the US Army since 2012 and is currently serving in the US Army Reserves. Mark is also enrolled in the University of Phoenix studying to get his bachelors in business management. In his free time, Mark enjoys playing piano and guitar. He also loves to hike. 

Melissa:
Melissa is someone you might recognize! She is featured in a lot of our Facebook videos and posts. Melissa has worked at the company since November of 2018. She is an attentive and upbeat sales associate with 15 years of customer service experience! In her free time, Melissa loves spending time with her teen daughter, going on hikes and rock climbing! She also enjoys jewelry and pottery making. In addition to her other activities, attending comedy improv classes is one of her all time favorite things to do.

Zahraa:
Zahraa has been with the company since early 2020 and is our first IT representative! She handles our website and all of our technical background information. She enjoys the simple things in life such as taking walks, reading and listening to music.

Nathalie:
Nathalie is new to Washington and to Modern Home Furniture! She moved from Florida to Everett, WA in September 2019 with her husband and 2 kids! They moved here to be closer to Nathalie's family. Nathalie started at Modern Home Furniture in January of 2020 and is a budding, bilingual sales associate. She is a very active mother and spends all of her free time taking her kids to parks, movies, and whatever else they might want to try out. She is also trying to explore her new city and is always looking for new things to do with her family!

Olivia:
Olivia started with us in January of 2020 just like Nathalie and Zahraa! Olivia is very close to completing her degree in Interior Design so in addition to being a sales associate she helps us with designing our showroom and with behind the scenes design work. In her free time she enjoys the "typical girl stuff" like getting her nails done and going shopping. She also loves taking naps whenever/wherever the opportunity arises and spending time with her 3 year-old niece.

Ricardo:
Ricardo is our newest employee here at Modern Home Furniture but is apart of the family already! He started with us in February of 2020. Ricardo is one of our strong and resilient delivery drivers. He enjoys being apart of a team and enjoys watching his teammates reach their personal goals. When he goes home, Ricardo loves to sit back and relax with a documentary. He enjoys watching anything composed about earth, nature or extraterrestrial life!
