You've finally found the perfect couch ...now what? Designing a living room involves more then just getting a couch. Usually when designing a room you design around the main object, in this case it would be your couch. Items to consider when designing a living room would be the obvious ones like a coffee table , end tables , a  rug , and throw pillows . Other pieces would include entertainment centers , sofa tables , book shelves , or even a server/bar area .  Determining your needs is key for designing the perfect room and your needs will help you pick out the bigger pieces. Who is Modern Home Furniture? Who makes up the Modern Home Family? Isabelle: Our beautiful owner! Isabelle is a proud Latina woman, mother and grandmother. She is a natural entrepreneur who started out selling used furniture from her garage! In 2009, after hearing a moving message at church, Isabelle decided to leave her full-time job at Microsoft and pursue her passion for interior design by opening Modern Used Furniture. After seeing her business grow she decided to expand into Modern Home Furniture with her husband Steve's support. In her free time, Isabelle enjoys visiting her family in Peru, spending time with her kids, dog, and husband and giving back as an avid philanthropist. How do you choose the right type of couch for your space? In this post we are going to be asking: Which type of couch do you want? Which type of couch will work best for you? A sectional? Or a sofa & loveseat combo? In order to determine which couch you should get, we have to start with a few questions. First, what feeling are you hoping to capture in your space? Do you want a light and airy space? Cozy? Minimal? Stately? Masculine? Determining the feeling you want should help choose what type of couch you should go with.
